Seller’s Guide

Plan it.

If you are still paying off your mortgage, that is completely okay! There are several options that will be available to you depending on what type of mortgage you currently have. You will need to contact your lender before you officially start to make your plans on selling your home.

List it.

Selling your home can also be a very stressful task! Choosing the right Real Estate Agent that you are comfortable and confident in is essential. It is important for you to shop around and find the best fit for you. A professional Real Estate Agent will have the knowledge and expertise on when the best time to sell is, and at a price that will attract potential buyers.

A REALTOR® should be able to break down all the factors of why they are suggesting the specific season to sell, and the price they feel your home should be listed at.

Promote it.

Getting your home in front of potential buyers is a big factor in getting your home sold. Signing a listing agreement gives your Real Estate Agent permission to post your property on the Multiple Listings Service. Depending on which approach suits your needs, your agent will market your house through a variety of mediums and inform all other REALTORS® that your property is on the market.

Sell it.

At this point in the process, hopefully you have received multiple offers on your property! Once you’ve accepted an offer that best suits your needs (not only financially, but other factors as well including closing dates), the buyer will most likely want to have your home inspected. There is quite a bit of paperwork at this point, but your Real Estate Agent will help you walk through all the forms to make sure you understand everything clearly.

That’s a wrap! Congratulations! Your house is officially sold! Connect with moving companies to arrange for the big day or invite some friends over and order pizza (I love pizza so feel free to call me). If a new house is next on your agenda, it’s time to start searching!
